Amazing day at Cedar Glen
When we arrived at Cedar Glen we were greeted by our leaders Jordie, Will and Alyssa and shown where to store our bags. Then, Jordie and Will led us through a number of icebreakers and team building initiatives on the main field. We started with switching spots with those we had something in common with and then quickly moved to opponent slapping and finger jousting. We learned who in the group can do the splits and unscrammbled 11 letters to create justoneword. Some tasks were more frustrating then others. We were really quick at throwing the dinosaurs in a sequence and sending the marble down the bobsled into the bucket. Through patience and teammwork we moved the pyramid of five blocks from one end to the other with the morning shift, day shift and evening shifts and placed the zoom cards in order.

Lunch in the dining hall was chili, buns and salad. We had some down time before our afternoon session and played a game of beach volleyball.

Random fun! |
The afternoon turned out to be a highlight for many. We spent three hours on the High Ropes Adventure Course. This unique opportunity allowed many of us to face some of our fears and challenge ourselves in new and exciting ways. We encouraged and supported each other and knew we always had our partners to give us permission to climb. Tony was an outstanding instructor and allowed us to be the first group to climb the upper level.
