Thursday September 26, 2013 - Period 2- Walk/ Run

400+ Participants and $10 107 raised for the Terry Fox Foundation

Planning and preparation for the Terry Fox Run began the second week of school. Initial event preparation started with a brainstorming session and then a number of smaller committees were formed and in charge of making decisions and executing tasks. Posters and a bulletin board needed to be hung, classroom packages needed to be created and stuffed for students to visit students and teachers, activities needed to be planned, signs needed to be made, the field needed lining and buy in tickets and selling needed to be planned. The Leadership class did this with enthusiasm and creativity. Flyers were dropped off at houses in the Banting community along the route and Officer Gilbert came on board to patrol the route.
